In September and the first half of October, 2016 Giorgi Tsertsvadze, managing partner of J&T Consulting, was invited to USA by one of the largest American companies JAMS (Judiciary Arbitration Mediation Services).
The aim of the program was to let the participants understand the way how the biggest American centers work in the field of alternative dispute resolution (preferably arbitration and mediation) and gain new contacts. Intensive trainings and the practical component was planned under this program, which was a mean of understanding and learning the American style of using alternative dispute resolutions.
During approximately one and a half month Giorgi spent different periods in JAMS offices in San Francisco and Boston, also in Harvard, Stanford and Pepperdine universities, law schools of these universities and the appropriate dispute resolution centers.
During the visit numerous meetings and discussions were conducted mostly in regard to the general topic – perspectives and opportunities of alternative dispute resolutions in Georgia. On the meetings the intention of J&T Consulting was indicated regarding the establishment of the first private mediation center in Georgia, which would offer the completely different and new services to companies.
We hope that the positive results of these meetings will already be visible in the next year and the new format worked out and introduced by J&T Consulting will economize time, money and human resources of our clients.
