In September 2021, the Humboldt Foundation developed a special digital cooperation fellowship program to promote and facilitate pandemic research.
Giorgi Tsertsvadze, managing partner of J&T Consulting, was one of the winners of this programme.
The programme will assess the effectiveness of the competition law and practice in Georgia from November 2021 to February 2022. The study should answer the question of how much this legislation affects the day-to-day operations of businesses, what the impact is and what recommendations can be made in the process of improving it.
The project also has a German partner, Dr. Maurice Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs worked for many years at a leading competition law firm. He currently works for the International Division of the German Federal Reserve and is a lecturer at the Free University of Berlin. His role in the project involves the independent peer review of the findings of the study for compliance with European competition law.
"I am honoured to be among the extremely limited number of people who were offered a an opportunity to work on a project from the Humboldt Foundation. It was even more valuable that our project was given priority among others submitted. I am particularly pleased that the project gave me the possibility to involve the J&T Consulting team, which is fully engaged in all activities. We invite all business associations, NGOs or companies that are interested in this direction and are willing to contribute to this work", said Giorgi Tsertsvadze.
J&T Consulting will periodically provide the interested parties with information on the progress of the project and its results.
