Giorgi Tsertsvadze is a Managing Partner of "J & T Consulting”, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor at Tbilisi State University Law Faculty and an Adjunct Professor at the Free University Tbilisi Business School.
Giorgi graduated from Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Law, which he was attending in 2004-2009. He defended his doctoral thesis at the same university on the problems of International Arbitration. At different times, Giorgi was the beneficiary of scientific grants and scholarships. He is a Scholar within the programs of the Max Planck Institute for International Private and Comparative Law (Germany), Volkswagen Foundation (Germany), German Academic Exchange Service (Germany), Chuo Law School (Japan), Japan Association of Arbitrators (Japan), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID, USA), Weinstein (JAMS, USA), Alexander von Humboldt foundation (Germany).
Since 2003, Giorgi has been practicing the law. Since 2004 he is a member of the Georgian Bar Association, and since 2012 is a licensed Mediator by the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution (Houston, TX, USA). In 2008 he founded the law firm “J & T Consulting" and since 2009 is the Managing Partner of the company.
Spheres of Interests: Litigation and Arbitration, Mediation and other mechanisms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Legal Protection of Investments, Corporate Governance, International Business Transactions and Asset Management, Telecommunications and Banking Law.
Giorgi has published more than ten scientific research papers in Georgia, Germany, Austria, Japan and the United States. He is also the author of the following books: International Arbitration; Mediation; Introduction to the International Investment Law. Giorgi is a co-author of the Contract Law textbook and the new practical commentary of the Civil code.
In 2011-2012 Giorgi as an expert in mediation was a member of the Working Group of the Supreme Council which discussed amendments to the Civil Procedure Code.
Since 2006 Giorgi actively conducts trainings and seminars on issues related to regulation of Business Law by the invitation of the Training Center of the Ministry of Justice, the Training Center of the Georgian Bar Association, Business Trainings Association, European Academic Center and other public organizations,Giorgi actively conducts trainings and seminars on issues related to regulation of business law.
